Caint is Comhrá – Irish Programme for Primary Schools

We developed a comprehensive Irish language programme for Junior Infants to 2nd Class, which aligns meticulously with all aspects of the new Irish Primary Language Curriculum.

Our team poured their expertise and creativity into developing the entire Junior programme, resulting in an engaging and effective learning experience for young students.

We created all content, including pupil textbooks, detailed teacher’s resources, two original novels, and over 150 original songs, poems, rhymes and raps. We also developed a full suite of accompanying digital resources, including interactive games and posters.

Caint is Comhrá is experiencing significant success, with over 25,000 copies sold annually and is growing in popularity each year.

Mental Health Programme for Schools

We constructed classroom materials for 1st to 6th Class as part of a team with psychologists and mental health experts from within this charity. We consulted on videos, the script and content, and created additional take home materials, including a weekly support sheet for parents.

Our team expertly linked all lessons to the Irish Primary School Curriculum, to ensure teachers would use the programme and in all lessons, additional extra-curricular ideas were offered as to how teachers could further expand on the ideas presented.

Our team was also involved in the promotion of the programme for Irish primary schools and involved in focus-groups and research gathering when monitoring the efficacy and use of the programme also, sharing materials across different social media platforms to gain traction and interest. This programme has been used in 43% of Irish Primary School Classrooms as of 2024.

Public Safety Campaign

Marker’s consultants have created a suite of lesson plans and resources to teach all primary school students about safe and responsible use of electricity. An annual poster competition encourages students to creatively express their understanding of electrical safety and the role they, and their community, play in maintaining electrical safety.

Our consultants have also worked with this corporation on the creation of lessons and resources to enable their staff to deliver educational, informative and interactive electricity safety lessons in primary school classrooms. Recognising that many of these staff members may not have formal teaching experience, we provide comprehensive support and guidance throughout the lesson delivery process.

Creativity Competition for Disability Awareness

The aim of the project is to promote disability awareness among children and to begin conversations with children about difference. Our team has created and managed the educational content in use in many schools around the country for a yearly art project which is funded by a governmental organisation. Our consultants have a unique understanding of child development, inclusive education and how to support parents and teachers to have these conversations.

The content of all classroom materials have been designed by Marker consultants. We have continued to broaden the scope of the project, having acted as educational consultants in the last number of years – from disabilities, to hidden disabilities to creating and incorporating ideas for involving and supporting parents with discussions their children might have.
